Jasmine Nyende is an artist and musician from Los Angeles, CA. She is the lead vocalist for Black femme punk band FUPU! while her art practice spans poetry, textiles, sculpture and performance. Nyende’s work has been featured at Smart Objects LA, Sade Gallery, Company Gallery, The Hammer Museum, The Main Museum, MOCA, MOMA PS1, Human Resources, ICA London and In Lieu Gallery. At the Prairie Ronde she plans to create a large scale knitted web blended with lines from her new book of poetry Flesh Between Heaven and Earth.
