My life has from very early been punctuated by espiritual curiosity. So, from early age wishing to become a catholic priest turned in time actually to become a zen monk. Having remained an enthusiastic meditator, monkhood was left behind to return to art making. That’s how it comes as no surprise to see how elements of Christian iconography and theological concepts are intermingled with oriental thinking and the transformative changes that meditation imprint in mind. My work has been placed by critique in the field of conceptualism, or rather in the silvelining in which modernist abstraction becomes something else.
