Conner Darling is an installation artist based in Detroit, Michigan. His work deals with seasonality, locality, the place where awe exists, interdependence, humor, emotional availability, boundaries and a response to site that hopes to illuminate the unique qualities of place. His work has been shown at Stelo, the Hambidge Center and non-art-space locations such as the inside of a trailer and on the edge of a cliff. Currently, he is wondering about the possibility of sculptures that have a regenerative effect on the environment around them. He has worked actively as a farmhand and believes that the growing of food for your community is among the most valuable creative acts you can undertake.
