Transformation Through Art
Prairie Ronde Artist Residency was established in 2017 with the goal of bringing artists to the Village of Vicksburg to creatively engage with the monumental transformation of the historic Lee Paper Mill. Since its founding, Prairie Ronde has become an international artist residency dedicated to offering artists from a range of disciplines the time, space and resources needed to explore their craft.
Art Chronicling Change
We’re a competitive residency that invites emerging and mid-career artists to explore and grow their practice while drawing inspiration from The Mill and Historic Vicksburg. Artists are encouraged to create work that engages with an aspect of The Mill redevelopment project.
Live Music in Downtown Vicksburg
We started hosting live music as an extension of Prairie Ronde’s overarching mission to support artists. What started out as an online program moved into live events, offering invited musicians from a wide variety of genres an opportunity to perform in our downtown Vicksburg venue.
